Landing controls are created in an elegant design and can be either mounted to a wall or handheld. This allows the user to call the lift to the top or bottom of the stairs as required. A handset on a spiral cable rests on the platform for easy control of the platform while sitting in a wheelchair or on the folded seat. A joystick is also available as an optional control function. As the lift begins it’s decent, two arms lower automatically for added safety to the occupant. With silent operation, the Delta is electrically powered with batteries that sit on charge when the lift reaches the top or bottom of the stairs. This ensures that it maintains its reliability during the unfortunate event of a poweroutage.
