Wallglider

Simple, efficient and easy to operate. The Wallglider lift and recline chair has been a firm favourite since we opened our doors in 2001. Also referred to as Space-saver or Wall-hugger this chair does exactly what it promises, it slides forward away from the wall as the leg rest starts to raise. This function allows you to position your chair up to 15cm close to a wall, without constricting the chairs movements or damaging your wall in the slightest.

This one-motor lifting chair has been designed with a new innovative motor which allows you to split the reclining functions between the legs and backrest. While you aren’t able to control the headrest and legrest independently from each other, this recliner lifter runs through a sequence of motion, which allows you to adjust the leg rest while remaining in a standard seated position and the backrest will only start to recline when the leg rest is fully extended.  Whether you wish to watch television with your legs elevated or recline to a 45-degree position for an afternoon nap, the Wallglider allows you to do it all.

The Wallglider is available with three standard frame sizes Small, Medium and Large or can be custom built to suit customers with other sizing requirements.

Backrest Options

You have the option to choose between two different Backrest styles to customise your chair.

1. With the Two-Roll Comfort back the back of the chair becomes easily adjustable by adding or removing some stuffing from the back cushions behind the zip. This option is ideal for those who wish for more lumbar support.

2. Our most popular model, the Classic Back. Perfect for those who want strong shoulder and neck support the Classic Back includes a complimentary head pillow which is height adjustable and easily removable.

Choose from a vast range of different materials, such as leather, vinyl, fabric and high-quality waterproof fabrics. Sizes and Dimensions

In the table below, you can see the sizes of the Wallglider with both Backrest options. Don’t forget you also have the choice to custom build YOUR Bed Chair, which means you aren’t restricted to the sizes outlined below.

The blue numbers show you the size range available for WA made chairs.

The orange numbers below show the sizes of our stocked items (imported chairs). For these items, the only possible modification that can be made is the addition of wheels, increasing the overall height of the chair.
