Designed by the same manufacturer as the SupaScoota. The Safari portable powerchair is designed with your travel needs in mind and is easily disassembled to allow you to take it wherever you may go, with the heaviest part weighing less than 17kg, yet capable of carrying up to 150kg.

The Safari 150 has all the desirable functions that a power-chair should be equipped with. The footboard folds up completely, allowing you to step back against the chair as you sit down, significantly simplifying front transfers. If you prefer or require side transfers, both the armrests can be folded up to allow for this.The left or right-handed joystick allows for easy manoeuvring in tight spaces, while the speed adjustment dial makes it easy to adjust your speed.

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor travel, the Safari powered chair is a versatile mobility option. Extend the rear anti-tip wheels further for outdoor travel and travel in comfort on paved surfaces, thanks to the under-seat suspension and 8inch pneumatic rear drive wheels. As with all our portable powerchairs and folding electric wheelchairs, the tight turning circle of the Safari will outperform any scooter in confined spaces. Making it perfect for indoor use, such as grocery store aisles, your home or cafes. This chair also allows for a rear shopping bag to be fitted at the back of the seat, allowing you to easily store your groceries on the way home without having to worry about taking your shopping bags.

Choose from a regular battery or a plane-safe Lithium battery option, for those who want to be able to take their Safari overseas or prefer the lighter weight for handling (4kg instead of 9.2kg). Another benefit of the Lithium battery is that it will extend the travel range of this powered chair from 10km to 16.5km.

If you want to go even further, you can purchase a second battery, which can be carried onboard, in the specially designed spot under the seat, and will double the travel distance!

For easy transport, the Safari 150 can easily be disassembled into three separate parts. These are the frame (motor, wheels, base), the seat (including under-seat suspension and armrests) and the battery. Now you are ready to embark on your journey and take your new portable wheelchair with you whether you are travelling by plane, boat or car.
